It's the last day for yet another teaching fellowship to either accept or reject my candidacy. When you're looking for a job, it's not uncommon to never hear back if you weren't selected. I used to hate it. It created false hope and made it harder to move on to another opportunity. This time I know for a fact that every candidate who got to the final stage will hear back within a two-week period. My two weeks should be over in a couple hours and I'm not at all anxious to get an e-mail that will pretty much rub my nose into my own mess, "Sorry..."
